Re: Nouveau 75 Update

Charles W. Powell

So Dave, I have my Nouveau 75 sitting at home, as yet unbuilt.  What do I need to do or know?  I have some time still before I get back to Kansas City but I’d rather not undo anything but rather fix it in the first place.

Thanks to all for patience as we work to provide the fix for the Nouveau 75 distortion problem.  I have a retrofit design of a drop-in board to replace the TA7642 that has shown great results in preliminary testing.  I have received parts and PCBs, and after thorough testing and documentation, will send these to those who have purchased kits, and include these in the remaining kits from this first production lot.  Expect first boards to ship in about a week.

Have fun guys.  I just got back from Africa and I have to leave for work again on Sunday.  No Brutus this year…  I’ll have to plan better for next year.

Dave:

I don't believe the Brutus Bash is a contest, just a chance to operate in the field.  But, speaking of contests, the Second Sunday Sprint is this coming Sunday, September 8th.  I believe it always falls on Brutus Bash weekend.  This is a good chance for those not participating in the Brutus Bash to try to catch up.  The SSS begins at 7:00 pm CDT, about the time many from the Bash will be limping home from a great weekend.

Just a reminder that the Annual “Brutus Bash” is this weekend.

It begins Friday night for those of you that want to arrive early and camp out by the fence.

I have rented the shelter behind the main office for Saturday and Sunday,
so we will be arriving Saturday morning and getting antennas and food set up down there.

The menu is smoked ribs again this year with “bring your favorite side dish" pot luck lunch.

If your planning on attending reply back to me, please.
This will  give me a idea of how many slabs of ribs to smoke up!

Any suggestions or additions to make this weekend more fun, please let me know.

Bring your radios’s Antenna’s and appetite.
Cu all there.

OT: For Sale SIGLENT SSA-3021X Spectrum Analyzer (Price Reduction)

Jim Sheldon

Price Reduction.

I find I don't use this any more as the project it was originally purchased for has ended and I'd rather it go to someone that can use it.

SIGLENT SSA3021X Spectrum Analyzer, 9KHz - 2.1 GHz, and yes, it has the tracking generator. Slightly less than 10 hours of use on it. Currently sells for $1395 on Amazon. I'm asking $1000 plus shipping anywhere in the Continental US (no export).  Shipping & insurance will cost around $25 (I'll cover any extra).

Please contact me off the reflector for further details or with an "I'll take it". First "I'll take it" gets right of first refusal. Email address is w0eb (at) cox dot net.

Hate to sell this, but at my age I'll probably not need it again. Oh yes, I would prefer PayPal for the payment if you buy it.

Thanks,

Jim Sheldon, W0EB
