I have used the hayfield, cornfield, the south end of the parking lot, and even a gallon jug - all ok at night :o)  ok ok too much info I know.

"Wish they would leave the door open to the inside facilities"  I think this would allow access to the whole museum so I'm sure they won't do that.

Arnie You're not camping in the Transit this year?

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks to you Terry, Dale, and Johnny for your well-wishes.  Also, thank you to Walt for the last 2 years of the Banner.  I just finished re-reading a lot of the back issues, and I only hope I can do as well as Walt did during that time – he left some pretty big shoes to fill!

Please everyone, let me know what *YOU* are interested in seeing out of the Banner!  As Terry mentioned, I can be reached for now at jerutley@... – Walt told me he’s planning to pass on the ozarkqrpbanner@... address to me as well, so you can use that too.  Let me know about your latest build projects, that funky antenna that shouldn’t work but does, funny stories, whatever the case may be!  September’s Banner is right around the corner!

Thanks again, all!

Subject: [4sqrp] Newsletter Editor

The Group still needs a NL editor to carry on the tradition started by Walter, K5EST.   Pse someone volunteer, prior exerience isnt required and help and content for articles pictures etc is readily available.  Newsletters are the glue that holds organizations together, and we're so spread out and diversified that we the newsletter plays an  important role for us..  They are appreciated and read by all 800+ members.

Shoot me a note, and Walter and I will help you get started.

Thanks vy much.

Yes a big signal.  I took my PFR3 to Blackwater Falls State Park and worked him also from our cabin.  I strung up an OCF dipole and exercised each of the bands on this rig.  Of course we hiked and saw much of this scenic high elevation (by east standards ...) place - and I just did radio in the evenings.CUL Curt
