QRPOmeter for milliwatting
Hajo Dezelski <dl1sdz@...>
Hello, my good 'old' QRPPmeter is working from the 1. hour very well and is nearly all the time switch in an outgoing hf-line. Especially usefull was the dummy load when I wanted to experiment with rigs without polluting the air.
In the last time my focus went to Milliwatting: http://hajos-kontrapunkte.blogspot.de/2014/02/whispering-fun-411200-km-with-one-watt.html
but had a hard time to measure my output. Is there a way to improve the performance or spread the measurements from let's say 10 mW to 1 W? That would be really fun - even if I have to buy a second QRPOmeter.

SSS Results
John Lonigro
I am enclosing a text file with the results from Sunday, as well as the overall standings for the top 5 operators. And I'm including some soapbox remarks as well.
Participation for February was down, compared to January, but is perhaps closer to the average. January's sprint was unusually well attended. If you find any errors or omissions, please let me know. Otherwise, until next month, 72, John AA0VE SSS Coordinator

We had a good net with K6MGO, N6MY KE6OIO KF7WNS Most everyone reported higher temps, than the 39-39 that I had.. and no one had the wind.. at 30mph... But CA had rain!! That's a good thing. And while the rest of the country is getting fairly tired of winter, one checkin is headed to the mountains to have more winter fun.... and another is hoping for May showers and flowers.. sooner than May. Check in, and let us know what you're doing too... Next Thursday, at 2300z on 14.0625 Have a great day, --... ...-- Dale - WC7S in Wy

Paul Hughes <paulboserup@...>
I wouldn’t expect too much DX from here back to the US, Phil. I
regularly QSX for 4sqrp skeds with no luck. However, do enjoy your visit
to England, and the Abbey, and if you do fire up QRP, give us a warning and
we’ll be happy to work you g/ . . . whatever.

Paul, G3OSR

Send in your score
John Lonigro
It's Monday. If you didn't participate in the SSS last night, your next chance is only a few weeks away, in March.
If you DID participate in the SSS last night, don't forget to send in your results, so I can tally them. You've got until midnight tomorrow night to get them in. This is your only reminder to send in your score. Send an email with your results to: SecondSundaySprint@4SQRP.com Put "Sprint" in the subject line. Don't "reply" with your results. This is my everyday email. I have a special one set up for sprints. So far, I've got results from five people (AA5CO, K7QO, KF7WNS, WB6HVH, and AA0VE). Keep them coming... Thanks and 72, John, AA0VE SSS Coordinator

Just wondering, who is Armour? Also, in case you wanted to know more, here is a link to SPAM - 101. Take note of the SPAM museum in Austin, MN. I have been by there, but didn't stop. Not all that fond of spam. To much salt for my taste. http://www.spam.com/spam-101 Oh, and an interesting tidbitty, 4SQRP group member Darwin, W9HZC had a HAM CAN project of his on the JAN 2013 QST mag.. This was not the same circuit that the 4sqrp ham can used. Counting down the days to OzCon! Have a good week! 73 - Arnie KA0NCR

Re: SPAM Radio
Rick Bennett
Yeah, that is the best plan. Rex has a great selection of stuff. And heck, he even carries the Rockmites now that would fit nicely in a spam can. Maybe a theme for a future sprint, extra points for food can rigs (ham, spam, tuna, etc.)?? Rick Bennett

No wonder it felt so lonely in there - wrong night - what a
bonehead.
On the lighter side - I got a new 4S member for the W25 (Bert
N0YJ) and another one that needs his number (KE0N).
Between the SSB stations and the SKCC - WES guys running
kilowatt stations, 40 was brutal.
Hope it's better tomorrow night for the real SSS. HI
