14 volt supply
John K4qq <johnk4qq@...>
I recently ordered the 14 volt supply using the URL for Amazon. It is a nice, sturdy unit; however, the connector will not fit my K1. The company offered to refund my money minus the shipping and handling. I have decided to keep it and swap out the connector with one that fits the K1. I have been a ham for 52 years but due to my advanced age I am not as swift on this radio stuff as I used to be hi hi. I have a connector that fits the K1. Question: are the plus and minus wires clearly marked on the 14 volt wire? You fellows have helped me a lot in the past and any help now would be appreciated. John, K4QQ

160 this morning
Boy! This is the lowest noise level I've seen on 160 meters in over a year! Managed to work NH0Z (Marianas Islands) and KH2/N2NL (Guam) right at sunrise this morning with the K3 Barefoot. Not QRP but still 75 watts on 160 to Guam ain't bad. Signals were 559 both ways. I'm still hearing the Guam station on 1815.25 with signals 559 from the Wichita area at 07:40 - he's working split, up-1.

TERRY,
I was on my PigRig so I’m not sure how wide the band pass is on it. Anyway there was absolutely NO drift that I could notice. The only problem at net time was very deep QSB. It would take you from an honest 599 to almost esp at times. It was on all the stations. I was there from when you first sent QRL to the last dit dit!!!! I won’t be on this morning. I will be in the process of moving the PigRig once again. Plus I am on the bottom of my gastrointestinal loop which means I am on the pot more than off:-( We are still giddy around here due to Patsy’s vision improvement. Regardless of the outcome of her left eye, of course, we hope for the best, she has wonderful vision in her right eye!!!!! cu es 72, Bart

Re: OzarkCON - Whats up with the hotel reservations?
Paul Smith
Hello Arnie and others, I have been working with Terry to get Ozarkcon setup and ready to go. We have a GREAT line up of speakers committed to be there. We have their bios and will set the schedule soon. We have a planning meeting in a couple weeks with the hotel management to set the banquet and saturday lunch. Let's see what else. The room price should be the same as last year and I am sure that the hotel will take reservations anytime. I will get the preregistration opened soon. We will post here as soon as the preregistration is open. Filling Terry's shoes is proving to be a Herculean task. There will be an Ozarkcon. The food will be good and the rest will be a blast as well... Plan on being there April 4 and 5! de Paul Smith N0NBD

OzarkCON - Whats up with the hotel reservations?
ka0ncr
Hi Group,
Just was wondering how things are coming along for OzarkCON? Its just a little over 2 months away right now, and I have't seen anything about getting hotel reservations yet. .Maybe I am jumping the gun, but I thought that last year this info was out by now. .Getting excited for April to roll around so we can head out for OzarkCON! When should we be looking for the reservations to open? Thanks to all who make OzarkCON possible! 73 - Arnie KA0NCR
