Send in your score

John Lonigro

It's Monday. If you didn't participate in the SSS last night, your next chance won't be until April. Unfortunately, I was on the phone at 7:00. When I hung up, I proceeded to other tasks and totally forgot about the sprint.

If you DID participate in the SSS last night, don't forget to send in your results so I can tally them. You've got until midnight tomorrow (Tuesday) night to get them in. This is your only reminder to send in your score. Send an email with your results to:

SecondSundaySprint@4SQRP.com

Put "Sprint" in the subject line.

Don't "reply" with your results. This is my everyday email. I have a special one set up for sprints.

Thanks and 72,

John, AA0VE

I plan on being at Branson. Hope we ex military operators can find time to swap a few adventures.

Was ex-Navy Radioman in the gator Brown Water Navy in-country  Vietnam. Callsign.......Spike 55.

Last year at the Warrensburg, MO Hamfest, bumped in to a guy wearing a Brown Water t-shirt. He had been aboard the re-supply boat that tied up ever few weeks. Small world!

Still attached to the Navy radio world via, the Navy Amateur Radio Club. 7.245 LSB 6-8AM 365 days a year!

Seriously, I've used an attic dipole for about 10 years now; over 100 countries worked with 5W.  Sure, it's a compromise and I'd rather have something grand on a 60 ft tower, but the fact is that it is really hard to make an antenna that doesn't work at least somewhat.  One great thing about attic antennas: as long as the roof is intact, they are pretty much weatherproof.  Mine looks as good as the day I installed it.

SSS is tomorrow evening!

John Lonigro

The Second Sunday Sprint is tomorrow, 7:00 - 9:00 PM CDT. Don't forget! If you've misplaced the rules, they are posted on 4SQRP.COM, under "4SQRP On Air Activities". And they haven't changed since last month.

Also, if you have trouble making contacts after 8:00, it could be band conditions OR it could really be 9:00 and you forgot to "spring ahead" (hi)!

Good luck in the contest (and check your smoke alarm batteries)!
