Re: 4S tuner
Curt M.
I have both tuners and I use them both. The 4S tuner works well but the capacitors on my need worked back and forth every now and then to clean them. One is worse than the other. Typically the next time I use it if it s a few weeks later I have to do the same thing. Other than that it works very well. It’s also very fun to build. Curt

Welcome Jerry! 4SQRP has grown well beyond the boundaries of the original group. I'm sure you'll have fun using the tuner. Tim N9PUZ

4S tuner
Jerry Pereira <digilink@...>
Soon my 4S QRP tuner will be here to use with my MTR3B. I’ve been using an Elecraft T1 but I think the more of a hands on to lower SWR will be better overall.
I look forward to being an active member even though I’m in Georgia 😉 Jerry - K4KBL

Re: How do I get to the 4sqrp Store?
Gwen, Pardon my last message where I typed QRP-ARCI...I meant 4SQRP, as that is where I bought the tuner. Maybe "Oldtimer's Disease" is messing with my mind! EuGene

Re: How do I get to the 4sqrp Store?
Gwen, Oh well, it was just a thought, as I didn't have any idea how the Groups thing operated...I'm too new to it. I suppose in order to see what is available for sale by QRP-ARCI I would have to go to QRP-ARCI.com, which is probably where I was when I bought the tuner. I went to the tuner for sale page using a link that someone sent to me, so I wasn't really aware of where I was or how to get back there without the link. EuGene KA5NLY

Re: How do I get to the 4sqrp Store?
Jeff,
I guess by Main Page I figured that you meant the home page...across the top are: Groups.io, Your Groups, Find or Create a Group, Help, and bigusmith. If you meant the main page on the 4sqrp's site, not on the Groups.io site which is where I normally go to see what's up on 4sqrp, t would be nice if the store was added to those links listed on the left of the screen at 4sqrp.groups.io. Re: How do I get to the 4sqrp Store?
Ge Eugene Go to 4sqrp.com Second button down is 4 state kits. Also if I scroll way down we have clickable pictures of the kits. The kit pages are open to the public. 72 Johnny
I bought the little QRP antenna tuner kit from the 4sqrp Store, and wanted to go back to the store and see what other goodies they have to offer, but when I look at the list of things on the left side of my screen (from Home, Chats, Photos, etc. down to Wiki (whatever that is) at the bottom, a was thoroughly confused that the Store is not listed. Is that to keep the store private so non-members can't go there...OK, then, how do members get to the store? --

Re: Wednesday Evening 40 and 80 meter Nets - Wed, 10/07/2020 20:00-21:00

w2sh@...
I heard nothing on 40m except for tail end of a wannabe QNI that gave a FL address. I wondered if the skip was extra long to receive FL but not the 4S heartland. Thern a strong digital signal QRM'd the 7.120-7.122 mHz spread. QRT for me.
On 80m I was only able to copy QNIers WA9PWP and WBØCFF. I tried to QNI, but the NCS only acknowledged me with three "agns" and finally a "sri". So I quit.

Re: How do I get to the 4sqrp Store?
EuGene,
Instead of looking for "Store," think "Shop" instead. There are two links right near the top of the main page which read "Shop Four State QRP Kits" and "Shop Four State QRP Apparel." Bright red in color too. Once you see them you'll wonder how you missed 'em :-) 72, Jeff N0̸MII -- Jeff N0̷MII

Re: Note on the SSCPO: big improvement in sound
Jim, N5IB
Funny that the SSCPO topic should crop up.
I just finished a little surface mount version of Dave's circuit. Decreasing the value of the resistors in series with the speaker and it performs quite nicely on 3 V from a pair of AA cells. Adequate volume, but not loud enough to annoy parents........ important because..... It's tucked into a key I 3-D printed for my grand daughter Tessa, who just turned 3 this week. You might recall a photo I posted a few weeks back of her trying her hand at the Brown Bothers paddles on my K2. Now she can have a key of her own. A roller-lever microswitch is hidden under the trunion, and there's provision to bring out a connection to actually key a tranmitter .... one day.... Photos are attached. 73 Jim, N5IB

I do not recall how I got to the store when I bought the tuner, and did not think to bookmark the address, so that' why I am asking for help now. EuGene Smith, KA5NLY/QRP P.S. Moderator, please consider add ing the 4sqrp Store to the list of options on the left of the screen to help us dummies go shopping there.

Re: 4SQRP Tuner
Hello Dan You may have received a switch that’s Not the correct one. We should probably send you another ploy Varicon. That one sounds questionable. Email me direct with your shipping info please. Thanks Johnny ACØBQ

Re: 4SQRP Tuner
Bob Parr
I will second Dan. I had one of my caps go bad and you could see the fins buckling up. I suspect yours may either buckle in the future or may be starting to know. The 4SQRP guys are real good about replacing any parts that are not working/bad.
Good luck.
