Recommendations for electronics books
I like RF Circuit Design by Christopher Bowick. He includes design exercises to go along with the theory. There are a couple of the same title so make sure to also look for the author. 72 John kc9on

A heads up about a USPS regulation...
It's been a regulation for years now. Not sure about all post offices but at mine above the inside drop off bin (not sure about those blue corner boxes) is a sign that says nothing greater than 13oZ,

Possible new kit
Reminds me of the old Star Fleet Technical Manual (yup, I'm a nerd!). In there on page T0:03:02:01 is a schematic for the "20th century terran early development" 3 transistor communicator using PNP Tr

3560 Crystals from eBay
I would have to concur with the last few posts. C10 seems to light to me. I used up to 470pF for C10 (and 270pF for 40M) and even lowered R2 down to a 330 ohm 1/2W resistor when playing with an SVXO c

I agree on using LTSPICE. It's a little awkward and take a bit of getting used to. However, there is a huge support community out there for it, even an active Yahoo group. If there is a specific part
