FWIW, mine has a most definite regeneration point. So if yours isn't that isn't normal. Curt KB5JO

Sometimes regeneration doesn't work because the sense of the coil wilndings is wrong. Be sure the coil looks line the one in the assembly drawing. There aren't many parts in the regeneration circuit.

You could easily unsolder Q3 and test it with your DVM on diode test. I bought 5 minimodule LM386 amps for $10 delivered. No constuction just hook them up. GL n 73, Curt KB5JO

Maybe not relevant: The stock radio doesn't put out much volume into the speaker. Headphones worked fine, I bought a $2 audio amp and wired it into the speaker circuit, now volume from the speaker is

Random Wire Tuning - Take 2
This interests me, although don't own a KX2. My K1-4 has 15, 20, 30, and 40M. It also has a KAT1 internal tuner. I usually use a SOTA tuner to load a 34' wire in a tree with the internal tuner disable

Ozark Patrol Tuning adjustment question
A 10-50 pF trimmer did the trick. Now pretty close to 5-12Mhz on the upper band. Lost 20M, but still have 40 n 30. Thanks, Curt KB5JO

Ok, since the 560 pF cap isn't in the circuit for the 5-12 MHz scale, assumes this means need to add some capacitance in parallel with the capacitor to bring the top frequency down. QSL the trimmer, b
