Anybody using a 4slink with a KX3?
Thanks for that Jim. Weird that they designed it that way! I think I'll change the rig so I can use "normal" cables. 73 Steve

Ha! Too much monitoring and not enough CQing. I left my big rig on 7030.7 for hours and didn't hear squat. Steve W1SfR Sent from my iPad

I just occurred to me that when I built the rig the wire I used for the power in was heavier gauge than spec'd and I could only get one turn around the ferrite choke. Could that be the problem? Maybe

Calibrating the Pig Rig without a Freq counter?
Ok. I got the Pig Rig built and now I have to calibrate and align it. I don't have a freq counter or a 10V source. I can figure out how to step the voltage down from my power source, but was wondering

How do you test a toroid -
I see a lot of LC meters on ebay. Do you think one of these might do the trick or are they too cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/L-C-F-5pF-1uF-0-05uH-500H-Inductance-Capacitance-High-Precision-LC-Meter-C
