Hotel antenna
Many years ago I used a home made slinky antenna strung across the bedroom of my second floor apartment in Ok City, and with a Heath HW-7 had a useable operation. Granted, no dx but I was on the air.

My goodness, folks! I don't believe I've ever seen such angst over a few measly Hertz. My "old sparky" covers several hundred kHz on all bands, the only resonant element in the system being the antenn
