That was K7KGM, WY Net. I never heard you. Checked up down 2 Khz. Did hear Chas one time. Patiently waiting on 3.564 Mhz. Heard Paul, WA9PWP, testing the water around 0215Z. 73 de n4mj//glenn “PLEASE REMOVE all email addresses before you send it on and use BCC option when forwarding" Thank you!

Jeff,
When I realized Bert had to move due to K7KGM holding the frequency,
I right away assume “up.” And when I think “up” I start at 1 KHz up. And there
Bert was! He was at “ESP” levels, even with DSP. I called Bert a few times but
no go. He was much better, 459, on 80 meters.
Oh, also, the answer to your question was in the email subject
line!

I was looking Down thinking perhaps Bert was trying to include some BJ’s . I avoided UP 1 because many times I have heard both phone and CW on 7123+/-. BUT the final “gotcha” was I needed WY for WAS and never thought to look up the 7 Call ;-(. and he was booming in to Florida too. Bummer night all around, QRPARCI 160 Sprint was a Zero for me, I was 1 hour late for the FP Walk Fer the Bacon and then I couldn’t find the 4S Net...... Grrrrrr. 72, John KK4ITX

It looks like the station was in AZ. They normally have a net at 7120 KHz, but they got bumped from there.
So then they bumped Four States QRP. Kingman (AZ) CW Practice Net K7KGM is doing a casual CW practice net on 40 meters 7.120 khz every Wednesday evening at 0200 utc. Give us a thrill, check in and say howdy. All are welcome. Wyatt, KF7YHB is net control The NCS's name is 'Wyatt', so that may be why some were left with the impression the net was from 'Wyoming'. I had no idea there were so many nets in the old Novice band.
