40 AND 80 meter Net report
Paul Goemans
Well,
Deep slow QSB on both bands tonight. At 0200Z on 40 meters you
started at 579 and eventually dropped below the noise. Finally you came up
somewhat and I was able to QNI. At 0230Z on 80 meters you started about 559 but
dropped below the noise just after I QNI. The second time you heard me on 80,
Johnny, I had switched from my OCF dipole to my Butternut HF-6V vertical.
By the way my answer to the “key” question should have been model
ZN-QRP iambic paddle by N3ZN. For a picture go to www.n3znkeys.com and type my call sign in the
search box at the top of the page.

Johnny,

I heard you a bit on 40m but only pieces, sometimes a CQ or QNI and parts of Calls. I have made some additional changes so 80 is working pretty good based on WSPR. Attached is my 80m reception (some at 200mw) about the time of the Net. I am puzzled as I uses to check in regularly when Bill, KV6Z ran the Net, perhaps his antenna was aimed my way ? Anyway, that was me with the QRM ! John KK4ITX 🙃Each mistake is a learning opportunity.🙂
