Unlike FM, with DMR you need to "ker-chunk" your radio when you
select the appropriate talk group, to let "the system" know you wish
to monitor that group. Before that light bulb lit up in my feeble
mind, I had the same experience. I had no idea why I wasn't hearing
anybody.
