Voice of America Digital Broadcasts
WA0ITP
For our digital practioners:
Below is a note from the Iowa ARRL Afiliated Section Coordinator. If any of your club members are interested the weekend VOA Radiogram program has been doing numerous digital transmissions. They are using the FLDigi software for their transmissions. All you would need to copy them is either a shortwave receiver, or your HF receiver, the FLDigi software and a cable from your speaker out on the radio to the mic in on your computer sound card. They transmit several modes in their 1/2 hour broadcast, and it is easy to copy in the midwest. For more information check their website at http://www.voaradiogram.net. All the information on times and modes of operation are listed. -- Joe Hoepfner, AJ0HH ARRL IA Section Affiliated Club Coordinator 319-961-2477 VOA Radiogram transmission schedule (all days and times UTC): Sat 1600-1630 17860 kHz Sun 0230-0300 5745 kHz Sun 1300-1330 6095 kHz Sun 1930-2000 15670 kHz All via the Edward R.
